How big is Koolburra, George?
It's 1.600 square kilometres and we've got about 2.500 cows.
Wow, that's gigantic!
It isn't so big for an Australian station. Don't forget Australia is about seven and a half million square kilometres.
How can you take care of the station? It's so big. You can't drive 1.600 km a day!
You're right, we can't. That's why we use helicopters or small planes. Look up there - that's one of Kooburra's planes. Can you see it? The two men in the plane are checking on our cows and fences. The pilot talks a lot on his radio and tells the cowboys below where to go. Then we drive there fast.
Drive? Don't cowboys ride horses any more?
Of course we do. That's why I'm wearing my riding boots and a hat. With a horse you can ride quickly to places you can't always reach in a jeep.
